Shipping Terms

1. Shipping area

KERNCHEN® currently delivers to addresses in Germany, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

2. Shipping costs

The following shipping costs currently apply to standard shipping:

• France: EUR 14.90
• Switzerland: EUR 29.90
• United Kingdom: EUR 59.90
• United States: EUR 59.90
• Canada: EUR 59.90
• Japan: EUR 59.90
• Australia: EUR 59.90
• New Zealand: EUR 59.90
• United Arab Emirates: EUR 39.90
• Saudi Arabia: EUR 39.90

Standard shipping within Germany is free of charge. The shipping price actually displayed in checkout before completion of the order is decisive.

If different shipping costs apply to a particular artwork due to its size, weight, value, nature or an expressly requested special transport service, these costs will be expressly stated before the order is placed and taken into account in checkout.

For deliveries outside the European Union, additional import charges, customs duties and taxes may arise unless they are expressly collected during the ordering process. Such charges not collected during the ordering process are borne by the recipient where required under the applicable statutory provisions.

3. Shipping method

Shipping is generally carried out using the shipping method stated in the shop. Depending on the size, value, weight and nature of the artwork, delivery may be made by parcel service, freight forwarder, art transporter or another suitable specialist provider.

We select the shipping method with regard to the nature and protection requirements of the respective artwork. Artworks are packed appropriately for transport; high-value works are protected and shipped insured in a manner appropriate to their value and nature.

4. Delivery time

The regular delivery time within Germany is three to seven business days unless a different delivery time is stated in the respective product offer.

Business days are Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at the place of delivery.

For international deliveries, transport, customs and import processing may result in longer delivery times. The delivery time applicable to the respective work and country of delivery is stated in the product offer or checkout before completion of the order.

For payment by bank transfer, processing begins after full receipt of the invoice amount. For particularly large, delicate or high-value artworks, an individual delivery date may be agreed. Agreed delivery periods and statutory rights in the event of delayed delivery remain unaffected.

5. Shipping confirmation and tracking

Where available for the selected shipping method, after the shipment has been handed over to the transport provider you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information.

For delivery by freight forwarder or art transporter, your contact details may be used to arrange the delivery date.

6. Partial deliveries

Partial deliveries are made only where objectively necessary and reasonable for you. A partial delivery initiated by us does not result in additional shipping costs for you.

7. Inspection on receipt and transport damage

Please inspect the shipment as soon as reasonably possible after receipt. Where possible, document externally visible damage to the packaging or artwork with photographs and, where appropriate, have visible damage noted by the delivery service.

Please report transport damage promptly to kontakt@kernchen.com and send any available photographs together with the order number.

This request is intended to facilitate handling with the transport provider. Consumers' statutory rights in respect of defects and warranty are not restricted by a late or omitted damage report.

8. Returns

Information on withdrawal, returns and return shipping costs can be found in our Withdrawal Instructions.

For particularly delicate, large-format or high-value artworks, we ask you to coordinate the return with us in advance so that suitable and insured return transport can be organised. This coordination is not a prerequisite for the effective exercise of your statutory right of withdrawal and does not alter the statutory return period.

10. Payment methods

Depending on the device used and technical availability, checkout offers credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer as advance payment.

PayPal, Klarna and USDC are currently not offered.

11. Bank transfer as advance payment

If you select bank transfer, please transfer the total amount within seven calendar days, quoting the order number. The bank details are displayed in checkout and in the payment instructions for the order. Processing and shipping take place after full receipt of payment.
